AWP 2011 – Day 0.5

I decided to kick things off with this new poem

The Kama Sutra of AWP

I am rigid like a conference room
chair, talk for hours on end,
answer some of your questions
if you’re lucky.

I will only look you in the eye
when I grip you like a lectern;
buy my latest book, I will tell you
my real name.

You can check out my poem “Number Seven” over at New Verse News. If you are in DC, you can check me out tomorrow night here and on Friday night over here.
